Yep. I believe this is the direct sequel to TEAATB, though there's quite a different atmosphere here than on that album. Lyrically, its much less morbid. There are no lines about victims being skinned and stretched across the wall or hair follicles and toenail clippings in the snow. Daveed really toned that down here (sadly) Also, the experimentation is cranked up to 11.

Agreed with Rowan, make them dead is the weakest by far. Was actually worried this would lose steam when I first played it because of that song

Coo, well, this is pretty sweet so I will probs check the other albums too
I didn't realize this guy is also an actor

"Pain Everyday" is one of my favourites here
"Enlacing" #1 for real tho

Album Rating: 4.0
this is a 3.8 if there ever was any
It's more consistent than their prev, but also less highs imho, Blood of the Fang is just peak alt rap or whatever these guys do
Pain Everyday / Body for the Pile / Say the Name / Looking Like Meat / Check the Lock / Something Underneath
all rip
Enlacing should be main Clipping single, don't they want to fucking do money?

Wow, I just peeked at Pitchfork's reviews of all the clipping. albums. They really hate these guys. Must've turned down a festival invitation or something.

Pitchfork reps some incredibly weak shit tbh

Album Rating: 4.0
Weird cause they seem like something Pitchfork would eat right up.
|

Pitchforks rap reps are more like Robert Christgau’s than anything (mostly allergic to non-mainstream and especially “backpack” type hip hop) these days
