Honestly, I like this one in general

So do I. I may not have clarified well. The entire album is solid, but it’s the last stretch where it truly shines and leaves a lasting impression imo. The Line Begins to Blur, Beside You in Time and Right Where It Belongs are three of the strongest songs here, and they’re all sandwiched together at the end.

Definitely one of the strongest endings to a NIN album, not than any NIN album ends poorly, but like Larkinhill said, the last 3 songs are phenomenal

Where did Trent touch you. Genuinely curious.

For an album called With Teeth, you would expect more "bite" to the music.

Also yeah, Trent reminds me of John Lennon, another pretentious asshole I dislike.
These "holier than thou" artists with a stick up their ass who always seem to think they're smarter than everybody else, making "Art" music or whatever the fuck that is. Guy thought the music industry and record producers were shit until it dinged his bank account and now he's begging for his mega bucks back.

Did some arts-major bang your high-school sweetheart or something? Trent gave away 2 of his albums for free, he did not have to do that. 3 albums if you count Year Zero which he intentionally leaked most of.

I mean everybody does something good once in awhile. I have an issue with the guys weird ass paranoia that the Music industry is some cesspit of Hell, and his weird attempt to undermine it likes he's some fucking underdog when he's not.

He got used and fucked over early in his career so I sort of get why he wouldn't look kindly at the industry. They almost ruined him when he was still young and naive, making him think he had to make shitty pop music to be successful, luckily he wised up quickly.

Rediscovered this and it went up to a 4. Still don't like Dave Grohl's drumming except for Getting Smaller, where he owns.
and tbf: even if you see Fragile and Downward Spiral (or just the latter) as the only good things Trent did, man, they are still revolutionary today imo. Would kill to put those on right when they got out in 1994/1999 and get blown away - especially by all the details on the Fragile.

I still think that Trent got the tracklisting of the first half wrong. If he had moved you know who you are to the first track, the album would have been more accepted.
