I’m glad Triassic goes hard, the Jurassic / Cretaceous eras got all the hype for being bigger and apparently better, but at the end of the day who got there first? Without the Triassic none of it even happens. Under-appreciated period in history. T-Rex can get fooked.

Palaeocene and eocene lower the level of the album. The rest is amazing but I feel part I is superior. Way better.

You know, for an album about dinosaurs, you'd think they'd have more fun with the concept.
Props to any prog metal band that doesn't have a bass tone that's trying to sound like Periphery. Nolly Getgood is an objectively skilled player, but his tone is total ass. Bands devalue how much grit you could get from a dry bass tone. So much of these bass tones are so overly distorted, it's so headache inducing

Never really heard/got into the stuff prior to this but this is bloody fantastic despite the rock-lite synthetic bits and bobs going on.

I could certainly do without Eocene. The highs are undeniable though.

I dunno if any track here reach the lvl of Nascent, such a perfect song.

The previous one was consistently good without being spectacular, I prefer the opening couplet + Pleistocene to anything from that.

I wasn't feeling this as much as the first one upon initial listen but the Oligocene-Pleistocene stretch and Triassic are changing my opinion fast.
Jurassic I and Palaeocene are nice too. Eocene can suuuuuck it.

Yea the highs on this are more impressive than anything from I. Nascent is hard to beat, but I think at least two songs off this match it
