production has never been the best feature of these guys anyway, but yeah Wait is still a fantastic jam

I personally don't mind it, they're obviously were dabbing with 'hard' electronics for their first time in their career. There are some fantastic layers here, and probably the best Leo's drums have sounded on a PofS disc, so o o o o o o . . . .

I agree. Leo's drumming is amazing. No doubt about that.

Been relistening today to the coda of the disc, still love this one so much.

Also just realized at 6.10, in ICON, the flute is depicting some of the harmonies of "This Heart of Mine" chorus. cool

So, I guess I am oversharing, but I got a very late life-diagnosis for a mental health disorder, which was very retrospectively clear (if I had known this even existed). I guess that's another reason why this album hits home more than for most.

Last two albums are pretty awesome yes sir. I would actually argue they are art metal albums

Although this isn't as magical as some of their previous releases this one has more heart than most albums released by any other band in recent memory. Icon is such a powerful closer, some odd lyrical choices on this from time to time but no big deal

possibly the weirdest sounding prog metal album of recent memory.

Record is very good and indeed quite weird and experimental. The mixing and mastering really helps that too, which I always think is supercool. Some songs would maybe profit from being a bit less weird though.

I cannot wait to see where they go next. I think they might be my favorite band of all time. All their albums have something about them that absolutely blows my mond. Very unique take in music, it doesn't matter which style they are tackling at any moment. Just amazing.

Currently obsessed with this. Icon is something else but almost every song stands out in its own way.

Just noticed the King Crimson influence on Icon. Especially the 2nd half.
