I mean I havent heard her solo music so maybe ur right but even the notion of haley williams trying to emulate jessie ware rustles my jimmies

has anyone here listened to hayley sing live? its honestly rough. id be more forgiving if the entire point of half her music was her hooks but woofta

I mean just listen to Pure Love or Taken and tell me they're not Devotion b-sides.

they're not Devotion b-sides, at best they might belong on latter Jessie Ware albums but nah

"Hayley can't actually sing so the best parts of this are where her straight charisma shine through"

wrong opinion

hmm this isn't terrible. maybe a bit dated, getting massive 2010s indie pop hipster-fest vibes. it's about as palatable and inoffensive as any of that wave of pleasant but ultimately forgettable music. only problem i really have with it is that Hayley sounds like she's trying a bit too hard to sound eclectic. some of the shit she attempts here (vocally) just feels a bit forced and fails to impress.

definitely not finding it reminiscent of jessie ware though thats for sure.

I can mildly see the comparison in disc 3 but the majority of the album doesn't give me those vibes at all so it seems like a bit of a disingenuous slight to call her a poor copy of ware to me

Crystal Clear is a nice closer and is one of the more natural feeling songs on the alb, I like it.

Went in open minded, but this was unfortunately too boring to last more than 5 songs.
