Honestly I was just fucking around, but I do find a higher tendency of female artists smelling their own farts and calling it lavender. That doesn't mean men can't be pretentious fuckwads too. Just look at Trent Reznor for an example.

ofc true but as a wealthy artist with pretty much full creative autonomy, a billionaire partner, a healthy record of cultural appropriation, and a willingness to anthropomorphise climate change into a posterfronting anime character for cheap concept points, I think it's a bit facile to close the book there. I do think this site should have a rule whereby every criticism of a female artist for a misplaced concept should be accompanied by a revisionist review of any concept prog and/or metal album made by white men
