Goddamn, i cant stop listening to this. I never really loved this band before, but this might be the gateway into that.

I feel like the average is because this *might* be an entry to a lot of people to Pinegrove, because of the hiatus/lack of music since the allegations. If thats the case, I get it. This is a very slow album, and a very country album. The subtleties and nuances of it probably only sit well with either A: fans of Pinegrove or B. fans of this specific sound within the genre, of which there aren't too many on Sput.

tl;dr: Cardinal is a better entry to this band, and this album is much better if you've listened to their previous work before this.

butt.

at the same time, isnt it funny how this one almost has almost caught up to Skylight's votes in just two weeks? despite Skylight being their "comeback" album and this being not as well-liked

This is another great album from Pinegrove, but not quite as good as Skylight, and nowhere near as good as Cardinal.

Not sure what I like better (vs this and Skylight) but I will say this one feels more unified

This is definitely more unified that the splattering of sounds Skylight gave us. I like both of them just about as much I think. I don't think I could pick any of their albums over another one.

This grew on me and I take back what I said. I probably like this just as much as Skylight, with this maybe inching above it because I agree it definitely feels more cohesive. Going to see them in Maine in June.

Jealous, hope they do make it to australia one day. From watching almost every live video of them on youtube it's safe to say they're much better live than on record, which is always a plus

Will never forget seeing them at a small bar on a work trip in Orlando when they first came back in 2018, what a show
