She definitely wears her influences on her sleeve on this one but I'm pretty sure this might be my AOTY

Bjork, Kate Bush and Aaliyah are the most obvious imo

prepare for this thought writ up in nauseating detail but having cellophane as a closer is audacious and bold in a way that elevates the album and shows tremendous potential.
it's also one of the most beautiful songs of the decade so

both one which commiserates and demands self-reflection on one's behaviour; who comes out worse? both. astonishing.

Don't understand the hype about Cellophane too much. It's the third best song on this album on a good day, Fallen Alien and Home With You are both far superior songs.

idk mang ratings are weird you know? like, albums that are offensively bad are much more enjoyable- for novelty etc - than albums like this which i find totally forgettable. there are some bad moments here but nothing is glaringly terrible and yet, i kind of hate it because i'm not remotely into this sound and i find 90% of it boring as hell
