Closer was breathtaking too, this is about a 4.2-4.3 for me on first listen

Skeleton Tree has Rings of Saturn which takes me right the fuck out of it every single time, so it can never be better than this

it is. part of me is almost sad it fades out so quickly instead of stretching out that beautiful last minute for another four or five. it could have easily been part of the second disc instead if it did, but Cave has his reasons

yeah it fizzles p fast. but last time I was listening the ending made it feel like the sky closed up and all the children were gone and I was speechless

to be fair I've already changed my mind on that, because literally just now listening again I realised the ending of Sun Forest flows onto the beginning of Ghosteen Speaks, and the lyric is almost identical. this album keeps giving up the goods

can’t think of the exact example off the top of my head but I love the little repeated melody across a few of the songs that started with a vocal harmony and then was a synth line and then it was on strings

"i feel like you mention how broken cave is one or three times too often in the review."

Considering it's the thematic focal point of the record, I'd imagine it might come up a couple times.

">expecting a sowing review to be decent"

maybe one day I can achieve a 96% approval rating like you, apologies for the shitty writing over the years

Probably a horrible decision, but I'm gonna jump into this as my first Nick Cave experience
