i won't condemn the rest of the band until more information comes out and their culpability can truly be gauged, but i did read the comments and it would be really shitty if they edited their post from victims to victim in an effort to hide their prior knowledge of his ongoings. it does seem sus for sure though.

Especially the lack of transparency. But there’s other members from the scene speaking out against False here as well (Megan from Couch Slut (who are also on Gilead) was calling out the rest of the band in the comments alongside what looks like one of the survivors), and further down there was a direct accusation that Rachel knew of at least a certain instance of assault and covered it up

gilead just made a post on their twitter directly addressing this, asking for anyone with more info (and/or survivors) to message them. i do believe that whoever runs the label didn't know about the prior accusations, but yeah, this is all make false look very bad.

Basically sounds like the whole band have turned a blind eye to multiple accusations towards Jimmy (maybe others) and have finally been forced into doing something about it for whatever reason.

Agreed with Spirit, wouldn’t put any of this on Gilead (based on everything so far), but as far as earlier speculation on why the band wouldn’t just kick Jimmy (then unknown as the perpetrator) out instead of disbanding, definitely 20/20 reads very much in keeping with what sounds like a fairly long pattern of trying to cover their own asses and preserving their “brand.”

Some people have started to come forward and apparently at the very least Rachel (vocals) knew about this years ago and either swept it under the rug and/or called the victim a liar. It doesn’t seem the other members knew. Also Lingoua Ignota apparently knew about this as well.

Slex, the LI component of the insta basically comes down to one of the survivors, after telling Rachel about Jimmy's actions (and hitting a brick wall there), awhile later saw False and Lingua Ignota on a tour together, and sent her a message, given her art/creative persona is largely informed by her own experience as a survivor. Kristin said something to the effect of she'd have to talk with Rachel and Jimmy about it, who both denied anything happening, which she then took at face value.
