Black Mile is > any Brand New, and that's not coloured by my view of what happened at all, I've been saying it since Black Mile dropped

sorry for the hell this thread will now likely devolve into

I can get onboard with that statement, but Black Mile is one of my favourite albums of this decade.

Brand New is a better band IMO but MO's peak (this) just might top their peak.

Butt if I can admit it surely you can too

I'll probably take this back tomorrow to save some face, but I no joke just listened to TDAG and Science Fiction back-to-back, then Black Mile came on, and I was instantly more engaged and emotionally connected.

Heresy!! Even if Black Mile had the extra years to age, TDAG simply cannot be beat. I even listened to SciFi today again in its entirety, which I don’t usually do. It’s just on another level entirely.

Way less corny, tho Devine can be a bit bad some times

Just me tho, Black Mile has grown off of me a lot. I should give it a listen again some time soon tho

i would say this is pretty damn corny in a lot of spots, but corniness doesn't bother me as much as it does others.

Same man. I absolutely love BN (have Devil and Sci fi 5’d), but Black Mile > any BN. ‘‘Tis True. It’s just a masterpiece straight up.

Black Mile is cheesy? I guess I don’t remember those moments. Whereas this has “I Love you I’m Sorry Please Help me Thank You

Guys let's not split hairs to the point that we're trying to pin cheesy on anything Hull does

Black Mile isn't cheesy, neither is this

Black Mile rapes anything by Brand New. The same can be said about any Manchester Orchestra album. I haven't listened to this album, because I don't wanna give another 1.

TDAG > Black Mile > Daisy = Science Fiction = Simple Math > the rest

admittedly haven't heard I'm Like a Virgin yet though

Agree with your ranking ash, with the only exception being Black Mile possibly pushing TDAG for my GOAT title. Hard to believe.

yeah agreed with sowing. that ranking is basically perfect but i would consider switching tdag with black mile. honestly, deja bores me now outside of a few awesome songs, same goes for yfw. and on the manchester end of things, mean everything is overrated but also has a few really awesome songs. cope i never cared much for, and i haven't heard any of their other stuff.

I’ve never checked Bad Books Out, is this a good place to start?
