They played this shitty basement venue to a not so big crowd but they still gave it their all and were fantastic. Surprisingly varied setlist too. My hearing is still shot

Really hoping they make more music with Nate, if there was ever a bellowing bass player that could take over for Caleb it’s him

Nate was playing Caleb’s bass, which has already been mentioned, but the most amazing part to me was at the end of Sing My Loves, Nate reaches the bass out to the crowd to let them touch it too :’)

Reminds me when I saw Voivod and they were playing Astronomy Domine and during the buildup Snake was shouting “We'll never forget you Piggy!!” Really love seeing bands pay homage to their fallen members in touching ways like that

Saturday is almost here! Saw Mutoid Man there last year and was lucky enough to see one of the shows on the first Zozobra tours nearby. So excited.

So was this music that was all recorded before Caleb passed or was it mixed with material written afterwards as well?

All before he passed and Caleb performs on every track, though he isn't always the bass player as he's credited with guitar on the first three tracks instead.

Ok thanks. I waited way too long to listen to this. Crazy how much it sounds like it's plucked out of a session between Creative Elipses and Jupiter

Part of me wishes they polished these songs just a teeny bit more. They're all demos, but the last three are pretty veiled, not quite level matched with the others, and they deserve a bit more dynamism and life injected into them. It's a shame because I think this is the most solid slab of songs Cave-In have laid down on a full-length since Jupiter.
