Yeah new one is quite the 180 from this.
Though I guess it shouldn't be a surprise considering all the loosies they dropped after this album and the artists they were touring with (Slauson Malone, Body Meat etc.)
Really sad, shitty feeling kinda album... like ttktv stretched to 40 minutes

jamming this for the first time prob since phoenix dropped and its aged so fucking weirdly.
would love to know how ritchie parker and amine feel about "jailbreak the tesla" today. was certainly a banger and sorta the consensus favorite from this back in the day but is an extremely strange listen in 2025 lmao.

Jailbreak the Tesla is still a banger tbh

yeah that track and this whole album (despite my misgivings all over the initial pages of this thread) soundtracked the last pre-pandemic summer for me, which was also my one and only as a proper college student. will always have a soft spot for this despite it being easily their worst project imo.
revisiting all their work in 2025... these guys are pretty unquestionably my fave modern hip hop group. near flawless discog.

do think its hilarious they were so disenchanted with the label interference here that ritchie seemingly vowed to never record a conventional rap verse ever again lmao
