He’s dropping/announcing something tomorrow. New EP? Live album?

Live stream he just did said the live album should be released July 30th, but he is hoping to get it moved up. He also played 3 covers: frighted rabbit, bright eyes and death cab. It was great. Still up on Riot Fest’s instagram live if you would like to check it out.

This album takes me places I never have been before. The imagery in the lyrics and story is incredible. Can't wait to hear the live album either

@moose I assume you have heard the lp and ep prior to this? They are on the exact same level.

Yep. I listened to this album before those two though. They are all really great. One night I just listened to the three releases with the lyrics right next to me and read along, which was a good experience.

Nice. The debut came out my sophomore college summer and it was definitely my most listened to album then. good times.

Man, if i discovered this while I was in college. That would have been awesome! I didn't really start listening to TWY and Aaron West until halfway through last year. But it's still had a pretty big impact in me even over the last half year.

the live album is so good. i was there for night 2 but the crowd was so loud and energetic that i missed a lot of nuance in the band's playing

Yeah, it was a great quality recording. Love how I could hear everything. Now you have the experience and can hear the nuances.

If you guys like The Wonder Years and Aaron West, I think you are bound to like The Smith Street Band and Wil Wagner's solo material. They aren't incredibly similar, but there is something about their songwriting that I have always found really alike.

Almost finished, honestly this is super nice. Loving it. Somehow I didn’t realize how similar to an Aaron West album this would feel. Very acoustic/folk/americana.

^ I am going to listen today, but my expectations are a bit low that it is all gunna sound very samey ... one of the singles basically sounded like a lesser version of 'You in January' (chorus melody included) and given that the entire album is 'love songs he wrote based on other peoples stories' I anticipate very similar sentiments throughout the whole album.
EDIT: My example is listen to 'Flight No. 5' right after listening to 'You in January' (the burst & Decay version)
