"I find this to be a hell of a lot better than Ghost Bath, but I guess that depends on your preferences. Listen to the intro and the first song, if it's not to your liking than I don't think you'd like the rest."

Make a stretch to the third track to decide I'd say. Firedust likes Gojira for what its worth...he's pretty unpredictable though...ahah

I love blackgaze, actually! It's just like with everything, there's cool stuff and and bad stuff. If it's like Alcest, early Les Discrets, or early Deafheaven, chances are I'll enjoy it. If it's like Moonlover by GB, I'll probs hate it lol

well I'm listening for the 546654654 time and still rules. I don't know, its not classic blackgaze imo..the mood varies a lot. First one I 5 in the genre tbh. They gaze but also riff af, like bands like Downfall of Gaia f.e.

Well, DoG is one my fave bands, so if it's anything like that, I'll love it for sure.

Check it out Firedust. I enjoy blackgaze, but feel it's become stagnant and a bit saturated. I found this to be much more interesting and well executed than a ton of new stuff that's been released lately

Too much Gojira and metalcore'ing for my taste. Points for trying to branch out but eh, I don't think it worked much.

I don’t think I understand the Gojira comparisons honestly.

I gotta put this one down for a few days and come back. Repeated listens have actually made this grow more stale than expected. Few great tracks though.

Sounds nothing like Ghost Bath, the comparison is completely off base IMO

I still get a way more Enslaved vibe off this than Gojira tbh, but that may just be my brain making odd associations.

Yeah, to mention band's vibes can be deceiving or create a biased view on some ppl (I like it though). I think what some ppl are criticizing is exactly what sets this apart from its genre - it has hooks, memorability and actual riffs. Also this has a clear Death Metal (old&new school) approach, probably as much as a punk rock/ hc one. I guess if don't like your deathmetal, or you're a massive fan of the genre - blackgaze - and you don't consider that its going a bit stale and a bit unmemorable, prob this ain't for you.

It is also extremely addictive so you have to let it rest for while and then come back - luckily there's tons of music to wash out.

As to everyone enjoying this and still haven't rate it, don't let that zaruyache bring this down and fucking rate up this gem lol - Laen, teamster, Scoop, Nomos etc

These guys have Gojira influences, that’s obvious to me (the title track is pure Gojira), but the band's music isn’t a copy paste, has an identity of its own, with various influences and styles.

agree but that said...Gojira couldn't even be on the related artists because its not even within the same genre, its only an influence.

A strong influence D, the related artists need to be as accurate as possible

I wouldn't recommend Gojira to someone who loves this band or this genre itself. But it would be accurate alright...
