This slaps so god damn much, it just keeps getting better. I can see it being jarring as a complete album, not sold entirely on the way it flows, but the individual cuts are mostly (if not all) fantastic.

Never understood the closing stretch :/ not sure why they saved all the electronic stuff for the very end. Choke is ok but twice as long as it needs to be. Would have been a good interlude earlier on, but April Ruin doesn't work as a closer following in from it; the stakes are missing, and that song flounders enough as it is

It'd fuck me up a whole lot more if it was less boring ;] the band can do whatever they like, and I love a bold plot twist, but after a few listens it felt like there had to be a reason for why the final 10 mins of this completely dropped my interest. If you keep your mind too open, any ambitious songwriting decision is gonna end up walking all over you!

2:43 in Absolution and 1:05 in Humanity Lost - now that fucks me up. Album is with one foot in and one out as far as skramz goes. Better luck next time on the electronics
