As someone who grew up off of TDWP and does remember Plagues pretty well that makes zero sense.
Love Lost But Not Forgotten and ZAOs (Self-Titled) are prob the best comparisons ive heard.

If were really gonna compare this to albums of that time/era of Metalcore then id say Frail Words Collapse is a hell of a better album to bring up than Plagues. Has a bit more of a Metallic edge.

I guess (Self-Titled) is kind of electronic-y theres some electronic drums I think in a lot of the songs.

Well yeah ZAO and 18V are better comparisons. It only really sounds like Frail Words Collapse and not any other AILD album, they used to have some actual metallic influence mixed in with the melodeath stuff back on their first two. And in all fairness WMR have done short little bits of AILD songs live as well as some Norma Jean.
The TDWP comparisons are total fuckin nonsense tho.

being serious tho, 18v is one of the few bands from the scene that have been around for ages that i havent heard a single bit of. in my head they are like Avenged Sevenfold but im guessing thats wrong?

Until the Ink Runs Out is faaaaaar away from Avenged Sevenfold, they did eventually turn into radio rock like A7X and influenced the whole "fashioncore" trend that bands like A7X and BFMV jumped onto but in terms of soumd theyre totally different.
