Honestly thinking about it I probably shouldn't have it as high as I do atm
|

The album starts off really strong with Burn It and Animal, but everything after that is just decent-baffling bad.

yeah burn its alright. only song here above a 3 (second half out of control has a hell of a chorus but the rest suuuucks)
|
| |
Yeah Burn It and Animal are legit great songs imo. Inglewood is a bit of a mess, but I ultimately like it, and Out of Control and Am I here are decent. The rest is really bad though
|
| |
Burn It is the only decent song on this

My favorite part is when the album is over and I realize I’ve wasted 41 minutes of my life

And it was even better the second time when I tried to see if I was just being too harsh
And then I realized I wasted 82 minutes of my life

This really is cringe in a lot of ways, especially the lyrics and that horrible high-pitched vocal part in One of Us. The band is pretty great live, too bad the album is so messy. It's like they want to be the next RATM but instead end up sounding real corny.

So I am seeing them open for Thrice and BMTH soon so I felt the need to finally check the band out. I was originally completely turned away by the ratings and reviews, but tbh ... I think this isn't awful. I agree on the overproduction and RIDICULOUS UNDER-UTILIZATION of the guitar and drumming given the guys who are in this project, but all in all I am excited to see them live.

Disclaimer: I only listened to their recent setlist which I am sure just contains the good stuff.

@Feather: Is "Am I Here?" on that setlist? Tbh that's the only thing keeping me from 2'ing this other than the first few tracks.

I've also seen these guys with BMTH, they were crazy, you're def gonna have a great time. The only songs I remember are Burn It and One of Us though, the latter because of its horrible beginning and end.

One of Us would've been a good track but the intro and outro make it unbearable

I'm making myself listen to the new papa roach album, about halfway in so far. and just like that, I'm DYING to listen to this album instead.
|
| |
Why the fuck would anybody listen to a Papa Roach album in 2019? that's some masochistic shit right there.
