I'll probably 4 it in 2020 if I still remember it exists

"Just offsetting the negative hyperbole with some gratuitous hyperbole of my own as I do"

So, you see the irony in telling me not to take ratings seriously, right? ;)

Decided my three favorites as of now are Assume Form > Flow > Power On

Still can't get over how confident he sounds on this whole album

@sowing damn power on is my least favorite but I've been thinking about how it's also the song that's been stuck in my head for the past 3 days lol

That synth line for the chorus if power on especially is so derpy and tacky but seriously it's been playing in my mind non stop

Yeah I think I'm just enjoying the catchiest tunes across the board. I'm probably a bad James Blake fan but I'm just relatively new to him; the easy stuff to get into is really clicking.

Pots I'm a little surprised you like 'I'll Come Too' so much, didn't expect that for some reason, we share two of the same top three at least.

My third favourite would be 'Don't Miss It'

@betwedl nvm my bad, metro is credited on 2 tracks not moses. But ya tell them is great, one of the more immediate and accessible tracks me thinks

I don't know how anybody can listen to Power On and not be overwhelmingly embarrassed both for James and themselves but okay I guess

The lyrics are hysterically bad

It's nearly 'kooky good' in the way Benjamin Clementine is 'kooky good'...but it's just too awkwardly kooky

I guess I've just never really cared about his lyrics, he's not what I'd call a poet or anything so I usually come to the table for other things

Lyrics are pretty bland yeah but same could be said for most of his stuff? (I'm legit inquiring because this is my second JB album)

I feel like youd have to have to be pretty damn emotionally invested to find it so bad that it puts you in hysterics though

That's how superfast jellyfish is for me

It's totally a subjective thing tbh, overly cheesy shit makes me genuinely uncomfortable. The song itself is pretty good but...I just can't
