Bleeder Despoiler is pretty cool too

It sounds a bit like their Natural Born Chaos era

Definitely refer TLI over TRM here.

Love heaps of tracks on the former and not so many on the latter.

All Along Echoing Paths however, is awesome.

Haven't given this new one a good listen yet

Should've called those albums The Ride Menjestic and The Living Menfinite imho.

Can't wait to check this tonight.

As much as I was hoping for it to be the successor of The Living Infinite it's not, and neither my favorite Soilwork album to date. It's something new and decent for me to vouch for it but not over it's predecesor The Ride Majestic.

Finally checked this, excellent first impression. A couple of more melodic songs aside (Bleeder Despoiler and the closing track), I don't understand some of the comments I've seen online about this album featuring ''power metal/AOR-like'' moments (???).

There's definitely enough diversity and interesting things happening here to warrant further listens, in my opinion. Gonna give this a 4 for now, but I can see this growing on me even more with the time.

Only complaint I have is that The Wolves Are Back in Town isn't a melodic death metal cover of The Boys Are Back in Town (Thin Lizzy). That song is ace.

Yeah I get why people are shitting on it; it's obviously different from the previous two, but still a damn solid record.

On my first listen right now. Regardless of how I feel when the album ends, that artwork is a 10/5

I don't know how I feel about this, nothing really stands out to me so far.

I can't stop listening to this, flaws and all. It's just so much fun. Despite not having much in the way of substance (it's pretty straightforward, really), it just keeps growing on me.

@Mad: Seems like B Standard or something in that vicinity to me.

Surprised this is as liked as it is. It's enjoyable at times, but there are a number of songs that feel phoned-in. Whereas you go to TLI and even Ride Majestic and those songs don't really exist.

Also the high points of this are much lower than TLI or Ride

idk When the Universe Spoke and The Ageless Whisper are in the same tier as Spectrum of Eternity and The Ride Majestic in my book
