This album is lucky it has You & Me and the lead single, otherwise I'd have shelved it in the 2.5 cabinet already by now.
I get it Kenbo, but it's just confusing how an album this average is getting so many 1's.

Maybe if it was released by an up-and-coming Christian rock band, it would've fared better? Idk, that's the case with a shitload of albums that get unnecessary hate. The legacy of the old dilutes the view of the new.

Even for Christian rock/metalcore this is fucking bad

It's interesting how this felt like a slog to you when it's so close to EP territory length-wise it's not even funny.

People are rating it a 1 because it's awful. Also, opinions.
That being said, more power to ya if you find enjoyment in this

yeah man, lyrics are just absolute rock bottom. everything matty does on this album is egregiously cheesy, but he doesn't even realize it. self-aware cheesy is much easier to enjoy, but he thinks he's hot shit. also remember when the guitarists actually had something to do? their existence in this band is pointless now

Honestly, this should at least get a 1.5 for "You & Me" alone.

1 does not mean flat out 1.0 most of the time, like a bunch of my 1s are like 1.2 material. With that said tho, if it's a 1 to somebody then it's a 1, can't change that my boi

@ButtBoy: I'd be a hypocrite to complain about the lyrics here if I end up dropping something and my own writing doesn't turn out any better, so meh.

@Steak: 1.2 could be rounded up to a 1.5 if you mean 1.25 more than a straight 1.2. But I'm being nitpicky here. You're right, I can't change it, but I can certainly be confused by how an album so average is being rated among the same wavelengths as 3OH!3, BrokeNCYDE, Blood On the Dance Floor, early Justin Bieber, etc.

"You & Me" is maybe the worst song here though.

@gameofmetal: Agree to disagree there, I guess. I'd say it's a spiritual successor to "Miles Away" which I loved, so I may be biased.

Ice Nine Kills is a good example of self-aware cheesiness.
Matty actually believes all the shit he says. I wonder if anyone has questioned him about these corny ass lyrics.

Makes sense, since Ice Nine pretty much writes about horror films. It'd be interesting to see an INK album about games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
