My first listen was pretty underwhelming. I feel like the strings are way overbearing here. The Knot is awesome though. There's still something about this that makes me want to listen to it more...I'm assuming it's a bit of a grower.

I thought some of the songs on Madonnawhore were some of Toby's best ballads (i.e. Craven's Dawn and Boys On The Hill), but for me as a whole, I think this album's much better.

Am I actually enjoying a Toby Driver album? What is this? I haven't like any of his previous stuff including KD and MotW but this is kinda nice.

I put Avignon in my top 3 of Madonnawhore, and 2/3 of the three KD songs you mentioned are two of my favorite Toby songs ever.

Haven't managed to piece together Toby's more meandering stuff like this. I liked Anamnesis Park enough to give this a few more listens though

Instrumentally this is pretty good really, it's the singing and lyrics that ruin it for me. The instrumental version would be a 3.5-4 but as is I don't think I can give it above a 3.
