The band’s artistic reasoning for releasing it in two parts makes sense... but the actual album(s) itself really did not merit it. If it was like two 40-50 minute records each with a little more closure to each it would make sense.

This is way better than Auto I. A lot more crazier shit going on here. Auto I is too tame.

lmao some ppl ITT ... its not like theyre pulling a full opeth yall can chill. comas kinda weak, but still ok after all. automata 1/2 is decent and definitely has its highs.

btw some of the wackier moments shouldnt surprise anyone who knows this band. i can understand if some newbie gets put off and "ewww"s away, but veterans? nah. i like it personally, but i have to say that automata II reminded me a lot of diablos swing orchestra at times. not too bad thou.

anyway they always had that shit in them. it just happens that - as an artist - u tend to explore & experiment a lot more as u get older. as a baby fuck u just wanna release tension asap.

This and I together are the most that I have enjoyed a BTBAM release since TGM in 2009. I cannot quite put it into words, but the performances on these release feel much more passionate than the last two albums, which often felt like they were on autopilot during the writing and recording process.

I can't fathom a 1.5 rating for something like BTBAM. Regardless of your feelings towards it it seems pretty obvious that they are talented musicians who know how to construct on an adequate level.

I dug it on the first listen. Thinking a 3.5 for this one.

Firstly, Sumerian Records, ya cakesniffers, go feck yourself. Second, I would love a physical CD/Vinyl for both Automata (I+II) & The Parallax (I+II). That'd be -neat-

I'd want that if they gave Parallax I the production of II, man, P-I sounds awful, while P-II sounds SO GOOD
