Yeah this is their weakest imo. Pretty disappointed tbh, Pro Memoria and Helvetesfönster are among their worst songs.
Miasma, Faith, and Witch Image are the best things on here. See the Light and Rats are pretty good too.
Hopefully they go a little heavier with their next record.

Square Hammer is easily my favorite, followed by Ritual, He Is, and maybe even Rats.....Satan Prayer rocks too

Square Hammer is insane. Prob my fave too along with Ritual, Elizabeth, Year Zero, Zombie Queen, Spirit, Absolution, Rats, Witch Imag...

My first live experience was of them busting out with Square Hammer....it was loud, on point, and the crowd noise was on another level that rarely gets reached here in the states for a rock or metal show

Nope, it's definitely there. Also the melody of Ahes is an interlude in Meliora. The ending of Faith is also Life Eternal and there is some connection between Pro Memoria and the beginning of Helvete.

infestissumam was probably the worst place to start with these guys, even if it contained the song i was most familiar with: "year zero".
that said this and meliora are probably my favorites at the moment, as i haven't spent a lot of time with opus eponymous which could probably rise with time.
for now though i'm really enjoying prequelle, particularly "rats", "faith", and "witch image". the only qualm i have at the moment is i wish they did more with "helvetesfönster" to make it stand out, considering it is the penultimate number on the album.
