Edit: well actually after jamming it again...the first two songs would probably fit on this fine. The third song goes back to his acoustic roots. The last song is very synth-centric.

Not a bad song here IMO but the best ones that still stick out to me are Counting Sheep, Dining Alone, Big Bad Wolf, and Tin Man

I stopped listening at After The War Came, but sounds like that was a mistake? Maybe I'll have to give this a listen. Hard for me to believe that he'll top the Audiotree recordings though. Truly legendary imo

I admittedly haven't spent much time with the rest of the Shakey Graves discog lately, but for me this is comfortably the best album.

I'll have to give it a spin. I'm going back and checking in on some country/folk/whatever bands I used to like a lot. Shakey Graves is definitely worth revisiting for me I think, and The Devil Makes Three has a new album apparently too.

Nice. Somehow I never listened to Movie of the Week. Can't Wake Up was basically my soundtrack to the summer of 2020 when I started dating my current partner, got a lot of memories attached to this album.

Hell yeah he's super talented! I say that though having still not listened to this one, but I love Roll the Bones, the Audiotree recordings, and And The War Came. Gotta catch up before the new one.
