Replayability is top notch too. A lot of emotion and substance in here.

It's a good album, a lot more spontaneous than Immunity somehow. The album is kinda splited in half with the roughest tracks at the beginning and the softer ones in the end.
It was both a surprising album and exactly what I expected from him in the same time.

I think the second part is more heterogenous than the first one. COSM and Luminous Beings are my favourite tracks but Echo Dissolve and Recovery are less adventurous tracks.

This is sooo awesome. Tbh at first I thought the "two halves" approach was a bit forced, but it really all comes together beautifully.

Jon Hopkins has such a fantastic production style. he manages to make all his synths sound so bloody organic, his compositions are very free-flowing with an excellent interplay of rhythmic vs ambient elements. truly an amazing composer.

A tad sterile though. I definitely dig but I can’t help shake the artificial substance as if the record has been made by a clone.
Soul as an algorithm.

I think he leaves just enough stuff slightly unhinged for it to venture into full blown man machine territory. Some of the automation seems very much live played as opposed to following a perfectly geometric shape.
