sounds like pro tools
that’s the vaguest potential dig at a production job I’ve heard possibly ever lmao

i'll elaborate
i find genuine sloppiness to be crucial with music like this and this all sounds fake and robotic. this is probably exactly what they wanted it to sound like tho and it's just disappointing

there’s literally 8 million other bands who make music in this vein who are sloppy or who have worse production. it doesn’t make this bad

Bumped this motherfucker up, few music expresses the rage I feel when every time I click on a new page on a website, another motherfucking pop-up ad gets in the way.

Three songs in and this is monstrously heavy. I can see myself rating this amongst 2018's cream of the crop.

I have a blocker, but I like to whitelist certain sites I choose to support. Sputnik just lost it's whitelist status, because I literally can't rate albums with those ads in the way. I hope the ad revenue from ticketmaster is substantial, because it's costing Sputnik it's most basic site functionality.
Killer album though.

Would be sick if the Frontierer/Sectioned crew's next album combined the sheer brute heaviness of Orange Mathematics with the noise/insanity of Annihilated and added some industrial elements.
|
| |
nah it'd be sick if it fuckin slams
|
| |
this album should have been cut in half and released as separate albums
would have been much easier to digest instead of trying to basically walk against a hurricane for 43 minutes
that's why releases like cold and distant, not loving by kerouac work so well despite sounding similar
it does rip pretty hard though

It's crazy seeing how far Pedram Valiani has come as a guitarist/producer. I remember just being a fan of his more melodic and downtuned instrumentals during the whole 'boom' period for the djent phenomenon. Unlike all the other wannabe Meshuggahs during that time period, instead of being content with being a derivative copycat, Ped's style actually evolved into his own thing, completely distancing himself from that genre altogether.
What an album he's made with Sectioned.
