"Slow Burn", "Oh, What a World", and "Love Is a Wild Thing", for me. "Mother" would prob crack my top 3 if it were a fully fleshed out song

lol no there are plenty of pop records that aren't vapid and take risks, this is very cookie cutter country pop that happens to have a cute girl who's not super famous; put your dick back in your pants. And yes plenty of bands in many genres can be vapid, it's not exclusive to pop.

Right, you just happened to say 'vapid' and 'pop' in the same sentence. Again, seldom see it being used for any other genre, if ever. It's pretty common knowledge that those who dislike pop call it 'vapid'. And pop doesn't need to "take risks" to be good, that line of thinking is incredibly narrow minded. Something can just be fun and catchy, doesn't need to constantly reinvent the wheel. To each their own tho.

I never said I didn't like this BTW; I enjoy it quite a bit . I like plenty of pop music that doesn't reinvent the wheel either. This is just my opinion. Calling an album 'perfect' because it's catchy and fun doesn't make sense to me.

That is not my point by the way, alamo, I never said this needed to be complex or challenging, but there comes a time where this very by the books songwriting doesn't offer anything of real substance anymore. I know exactly what to expect every track WHICH IS FINE but not perfect. This just sounds like Lady Antebellum.

being "catchy" and "fun" obviously does not make something perfect but they're positive points. "simple" doesn't mean something is good or bad, a piece can be perfect and simple as much as something can be horribly drowned in messy complexity. that being said i think her songwriting is stellar

It strikes me as funny that music with such a good vibe can cause such controversy. People need to stop with the "this is good, but ___" style comments and just enjoy the music or go away.

thank god this isn't a music review site where people can have an opinion on an album that others don't agree with. those people are the fucking worst right?
