nah in maritime climates snow bands can form in 30ºC weather
as long as the ground is cold and the air is warm the instability in the atmosphere will have enough momentum for ice crystals aloft to aggregate into snowflakes and fall down to earth

Due to the discourse, the amount of views has passed my previous reviews put together
so that’s a thing

i wouldn't say i like the Kardashians but that Kim managed to create a monetary empire out of someone leaking her sex tape w/o consent is pretty baller

I've Got You is so, so beautiful... Its final line ("we never found the subway") has been bothering me for the past week because I could've sworn I'd heard it somewhere. I just realised where it's from, and, well, fuck. https://georgiamaq.bandcamp.com/track/america-for-my-father

this reminds me of diet cig minus the fun and adorableness of that band, which is by far the best thing about them

I like the band and what they stand for, but this isn't all that great really. Think it's good and there's 2 or 3 standout tracks, the opener especially is fantastic, but it sort of plods off towards the middle and the end.

oh dear god i didnt even pick up on that I AM A FUCKING IDIOT AND NOW I AM RIGHTFULLY INCURRING THE NOW INCREASED EMOTIONAL WRATH OF THIS CAMP COPE SONG
the fun and adorableness of that band
the idea of an "adorable" camp cope record is fucking sickening

If this band heard themselves described as adorable, better ready the defenses

Unfortunate too, this did not need to be the quality it's at. Could have been much better through certain improvements.

I lowkey want to review the new Young Fathers record but I’d probably give it a similar score and I don’t want to seem like I only write glowingly positive reviews 😂

nahhhhh whatever inspires you to write, yo
and i mean theres nothing wrong with thinking two new records are both super good

I am constantly confused when people see bad feminist thinking/writing/art/discussion and get angry and use it as an opportunity to lump much for civil and reasonable feminist discussion as like a weird strawman.
This is pretty bad lyrically in places though agreed.

imo the lyrics are pretty strong throughout

I find the line 'It's another all-male tour preaching equality' very interesting. the genius annotation shows an all time low group photo tweet saying 'we need more ladies around' after a 2017 US tour; after this they put an extremely godawful all-female band on their EU line up..
this very much made it seem as if they were like 'huh, there's a lot of men here, let's find a band with females and have them open up for us, look, we do equality', and I don't really know how I feel about this
like sure, equality is great and we need way more of it, but should bands put random all-female bands on their tours just for the hell of it? isn't that achieving pretty much the exact opposite? not too sure how I feel about this myself but I do find it an interesting discussion.

i honestly dont know how bands book openers for tours (local openers, that is, as distinct from the supporting acts that stick travel with the headliner from location to location); that process probably plays a big role in shaping this discussion. but perhaps the same argument applies as in the festival version of the debate: maybe headliners should just book female artists who are as good or better than other prospective male openers, regardless of how popular those female artists are relative to male artists.
