someone needs to tell them that a song name like "Libera (Part II): Ascent of Burning Moths" is pretty fucken ridiculous

a bunch of glorified grubs with cellophane for wings getting burnt alive because they've got nothing better to do hardly paints an engrossing portrait

"someone needs to tell them that a song name like "Libera (Part II): Ascent of Burning Moths" is pretty fucken ridiculous"

all I think of is that scene in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II where big G lights Mothra on fire and she flies up into the sky and explodes

it's like that, but with violins

Production is too flat and lifeless. Other than that, the only real complaint I had is that it isn't longer. They left me wanting more!

haha their titles kill me. there isn't even the hint of irony or self aware tongue in cheek that u find with death metal/black metal song titles like Eviscerating Baphomet's Olfactory Lobes or w/e

Disillusion ruined this band for me. Every time something happens, 'eh it was better on Back to Times of Splendor'.

The beautiful irony of progwank bands is that their album covers are about as original as nickleback cover tunes these days.

This is pretty good. Clean vocals could be better though.

I think this band would be super awesome if a female was doing the clean vocals, that being said, Tim certainly does a good job

yeah with the cleans its weird, sometimes he's comfortable in his range but it can be just the melody he's singing that sounds too forced and affected

i also like the idea of a female vocalist doing the job, imagine a fucken mezzo soprano soaring above the mix, it would actually be a more credible contrast to the growls and otherwise a healthy coupling with the violin.

Clean vocals remind me of Vanden Plas a little.

Measuring pretentiousness is pretentious.

Nice to meet you, battenkill.

How does one rate at 1.5 without finishing an album?
