i’m seeing them twice in december at a bar, that should be insane. I also saw them on the tour with neurosis and amenra. was supposed to see them open for gojira but had to sell my ticket at the last minute because i’m poor... i wonder why haha

those are all fairly short numbers and have a ton of energy packed into a small space (and 'canned tornado' is a Mystery Men reference lol, but that's neither here nor there). and, my prediction is that when ppl start listening to the full album and listing their "top 3" or "top 5" fav tracks, i bet those names will pop up.

tbh i don't see what's 'poetic' aside here from trying to pick words that pop and are fun to read. i'm def obligated to take any criticism i get on the chin, but idk if I'm quite seeing how this is too poetic.

I felt the sentences were a bit flowery/wordy at times, perhaps that's what he means by "poetic". I think simpler sentences would have sometimes made the text easier to read, especially for a non-native like myself. There are a few things in there where I go "huh?" and have to stop and think and read the text over a few times in order to get it. I just don't wanna work mah brainz too hard when trying to understand what the reviewer felt about the music, and why. But don't get me wrong, the review is well constructed and well written.
