'whenever I think of what kids are listening to in terms of metal I think of Periphery, Veil of Maya, Black Veil Brides, Bullet for My Valentine, Born of Osiris, Disturbed, and Avenged Sevenfold.

I feel like more people my age (early 20s) would be more for something like this.'

please never post again

we millenials made metalcore a fad 10+ years ago when we were teens, so idk why one would think Trivium doesn't appeal to that demographic now as well.

Well, I actually took a couple minutes to look at the ratings for this...

I looked at pretty much every user's profile that 5'd this... most of them were obviously younger users that only rated Trivium albums and other bands in that vein... but there was quite a few alts too, some of them even had Trivium lyrics for usernames with accounts that were created today

If you don't think 20 something's arent into trivium, you're absolutely wrong since a majority of their fan base got into the band in 2005-2008 when they were 12 years old lol

Nah I understand everyone is shitting on toondude but I just think his statement was misinterpreted

no, it was not. Toondude was trying to say that this band appeals more to 20 something year olds, which is definitely not true. If anything, your statement about a good portion of the fanbase being people who got into this band back when they were 12 further supports this not being the case

Btw, you guys do have a point about the alts/new accounts. But hey, I guess people just like the album a lot. Not exactly surprising that people created accounts just to 5 this. Don't act like it doesn't happen all the time on this site.

It probably does with classic albums... I don't ever remember seeing this happen with any new releases for any artist, let alone with a band like Trivium who gets shit on by the majority of the site

Ah shit i see what you're saying. He still may have a point if toon thinks that trivium has matured as a band, but yea they definitely appealed to teenagers throughout their history

"He still may have a point if toon thinks that trivium has matured as a band"

No he wouldn't... like they literally have not matured at all since like The Crusade... and I'd go as far as to say everything they've put out since In Waves is less mature than what they were putting out before that album.
