"Who looks more like their voice should not be coming out of their face? Anthony Green or Claudio Sanchez?"
100% Anthony
but 200% Andy Hull

I would expect Sturgill Simpson's voice to come out of Andy Hull before expecting Andy Hull's voice

Man this has grown on me so much over past couple weeks. Ive been exploring their back catalogue but nothing has really touched on this thing's magnificence for me.

I do love BSN, and I really, really love the acoustic renditions on the deluxe version of it. I'd be more than pleased with a whole album's worth of them in all honestly.

BSN's acoustic renditions are lovely.
Glad you liked this, Sowing. It's their strongest since Blue Sky Noise and a nice return to form. Isn't it nice when you sit down and give a band you're familiar with a chance, and realize that they're wonderful? I only passively listened to em until Blue Sky Noise, when I fell in love. Lot's of nostalgia for that album.
Anthony Green is a passionate guy, and it's good to see yet another review for yet another Circa album use that word. It oozes out of every lyric and vocal delivery. Love these guys.

This fell off for me pretty hard, but hey it happens. Anthony seems to be really sad lately, he makes depressing status and posts and then immediately deletes it. His new song is also pretty telling of how sad he might be : (

Unfortunately for artists like him, their ups and downs, their despairs and fleeting joys, are what often fuel their most passionate works.
As I grow with the band, I find I'm starting to get more fond of the sadder songs. Anthony's voice really shines when he draws out his words and hits the highest notes as slowly as possible.
This is actually getting better for me.

Idk what it is about this band, but it always takes a few months for these records to click, but when they do oh my god. This is just hitting all the spots right now damnit.

I recently got the chance to talk to someone who lives the touring lifestyle, and I can unequivocally say I don't envy it one bit. From the sounds of it, as much as there are definitely upsides, you live a truncated life. You only get to see your friends for rare chunks of time. Things change, you can't be there for loved ones if something happens.
Gotta remember these artists are all people too...

This a good place to start for these guys?
