Great review as always, Sowing. You're one of the reasons why I've learned to love Brand New even more.

I was hesitant to just instantly 5 it when it first came out. Just like with their other albums, it took a bit of time before they "clicked" with me. On my first few listens this was a 4-4.5, but I've had this on repeat ever since it came out and have now bumped up to a 5. Loving it more and more with every listen.

okay i liked this quite a bit but I don't find it nearly as hard hitting as deja or devil and god. maybe it's a grower but not totally digging the much softer direction on here

Hmm interesting take. There's definitely Deja vibes but I feel like this is more sinister and less upbeat. Maybe it all comes down to what you consider mellow. I do suppose this is slower across the board.
