Well first off they changed drummers and the new fella really added a new dimension to the band imo

lol, were you referencing the review with the drummer comment, it did seem like a response to something not actually said
but yes, I’m listening!>
This is growing on me. I’m more familiar with Virtues, so it’s just ahead of this… for now

sry its been a day, I was referencing: "damn, what the hell is going on here? They upped the intensity for sure." with the drummer comment, this and Abcess Time are more multidimensional than Virtues fs but it takes time to pull them apart, I wasn't trying to conflate you with the reviewer at all
Lyrics on this are fantastic too

Yeah I don’t mention pyrrhons lyrics enough, they’re much better than your standard dm lyrics

Ah right. That makes sense now Fowl. I didn’t even realise you were responding to me at all, haha… (apparently I did say that!)
Yeah, will certainly give this time to marinate. I won’t move forward to Abscess Time yet but intrigued to check eventually

All good! It was pretty vague of me. Abscess Time is very different, slower and lumbering and def less spastic than this, digesting them one at a time is def less overwhelming tho. Glad you're spending your dissodeath binge on Pyrrhon m/
@mort fr this is how I want anti-capitalism sentinent in music. Doug Moore's vox are sooo unhinged too

to bump this, Virtues, or perhaps even both? 🤔

This is a worthy addition to my repertoire. Holy guacamole-level skronk savagery, but subtly unique in its presentation. So many satisfying moments to tuck into. Off-kilter dissonance yet rewarding little nuggets for those who endeavour.
I do enjoy the steadier, more careful pacing of Virtues but it can be a tad porky (?). This benefits from a certain relentlessness (Virtues still has time to convince me otherwise, they can coexist - and do). Abscess Time remains on deck.

Hang on, these guys share members with Imperial Triumphant? (yes yes, slow on the uptake here). No wonder this rules!

Lol. They just don't do it for me. I wish they did
I periodically re-check their shit. Probably due again soon

sorry Mort. when I said "share" it wasn't a simultaneous thing, just that it seems at least two people (bass, drums?) have been in both bands at one point or another

Glad this has won you over Demon! There's definitely a method to the madness here, it just takes time to fully expose itself.
Although, after a lot of deliberation, I really do think Abscess Time edges this out (Rat King Lifecycle is a HUGE closer, otherwise they're about equal), I'm excited for you to dig into it!
