Listening to/getting gutpunched by this for the first time right now. It's insane so far. Is that a freaking cowbell I hear in Homewrecker? If so that makes this album even more brutal.

Yup I'm gonna go ahead and say this is a 5. It's absolutely intense, brutal, emotional, original and flat out awesome. It took a few listens for the vocals to grow on me, but at some point I just understood that the vocals aren't meant to be pretty or accessible, but to be a major part in the intensity of the music. I can't think of a more intense singer than Jacob off the top of my head. This album is a masterpiece tbh.

Yes. When I get a new CD, I listen to it intently and repeatedly. I think about how it will last in the future and tbh I think I'm pretty good at predicting how it will hold up in the long run. I could tell London Calling was a classic the moment I finished it for only the second time. It's a pretty unorthodox way of rating things around here but I find it can be pretty accurate when you just think about the rating you're giving an album.
