there’s a mgła worship band called uada that basically had the same shit happen to them in terms of being labeled a Nazi band or whatever even tho some of the members are legit Jews. pointing fingers at actual nahtzays is fine but guilty by association kind of sucks especially when a bigger band like mgla is purported to have some sort of connection even though in the European black metal scene it’s hard NOT to come into contact with many bands with national socialist leanings, even if said bands have since disavowed earlier work that contains references to the third Reich or natsoc views

I live close to munich, where they would have played in one of the most popular venues. They wrote a a big shitshow of a manifesto about why they are disinviting MGLA. It's so laughable. Only good thing about this is that i didn't even have a ticket yet. It's no wonder this happened, the owners of this venue are literal Antifa maniacs. The have done the same in the past with other bands which personal views they were not happy with. I just hope MGLA will do as they said and actually sue the living crap out of some news sites, who literally write MGLA were a "National-Socialist Blackmetal band".

Hell.. I was even called a Nazi just for saying that some traditions are worth keeping and I was associated with the AntiFa for a long long time.

What happened to MGLA.. well they should have played in the Backstage Club in Munich, which is pretty famous. And the statement was pretty much like.. They could not prove that MGLA was associated with Nazis but other Bands that should have played there too were - they said. So to make sure they banned the whole group of bands.

I am living in Berlina nd would have attended their show. People discussing here are obv missing some information. First of all, especially their support act was criticised since their members are/were in other bands which have songs about holocause and killing all jews and stuff. And Mgla ist attacked not only because of their ties into the scene bit because of an old musical project (Leichenhalle if I am correct) as well.



In the end everyone has to decide on their own how they feel about that. I would have loved to see them live but I have to admit that I have a bad feeling about them as long as they do not take a strong stance against discrimination of jews.

christian is not an ethnoreligious group that's seriously scapegoated for all the world's ills by white nationalists so moot point.
