In fact LP ditched a lot of songs that were initially planned to be part of MTM: Blackbirds, across the line, qwerty, asbestors, debris, homecoming and more were meant to be part of that album. The problem is that the members of LP specially chester wanted to do something that wasn't related with nu metal at all, so they basiclly add the ballads

The ballads are the best songs tho. Although the heavy shit they had planned definitely went with the whole "apocalypse" theme of the album title.

Yeah I really liked the direction they went on here and their numerous demos just shows how creative the guys were and their great work ethic

settling this matter once and for all: The Little Things is the best song here and in their whole discog, though Leave Out All The Rest is a solid contender and pretty easily the hardest to listen to now lyrically

I very much enjoyed hybrid theory and fairly enjoyed meteora, but i refuse to acknowledge that this album is worth a grain of salt -- even with his unfortunate death. It still is the turning point in their career where Linkin Park rid themselves of everything that made them enjoyable and moderately unique.

"No More Sorrow" suffers in lyrical quality, but the music more than makes up for it. The riff isn't a style Linkin Park dwells into often. However, I would say "Leave Out All the Rest" is superior than "The Little Things..." because of the impact the song leaves in their legacy. It was an honest and true ballad from a band who had yet to release one at the time.

The little things is more ambitious, more intense and more meaningful. Leave out all the rest is a catchy power ballad, but it seems more like a tune released by savage garden
