Slip Away, Just Like Love, Wreath, and Sides are my favorites. Opener is also gorgeous af. There's really only a few moments that drag; I could see this rating going up.

haha, this is richly arranged dramatic crescendo music.. so think of it as metal, but with different instruments..
also, metal bubble is a fucking great name for a killer cartoon..

The National are the best band of this generation for me and have been my most anticipated album since they started talking about a new one last year so yeah i completely and fully expect them to drop the AOTY lol

yea, i'm sort of with plane on this.. I love their music, but they have realistically been pulling good to amazing songs from the exact same formula for three albums.. if they switch it up, I'll consider them for AOTY for myself..
