Keemstar is marginally more relevant tho

Meh, I only watch stuff like Secular Talk, TheNeedleDrop, DeadEndHipHop, etc

Keemstar dropped out of relevancy after the Leafy vs Keemstar controversy caused him to go nuts. The hot talk of the town atm is PewDiePie vs basically every media outlet ever.

I watch TND only to keep up with newer releases, I don't care much about his ratings. Lately it's all been Vinesauce Vinny and Joel (which I guess are more conventionally streamers) and GG. DeadEndHipHop is awesome, also been watching Rap Critic and some podcasts.

Leafy is just straight obnoxious clickbait (2)

@Dream / Jiggly: I don't think I've heard of any of those channels tbh.

Check Vinesauce Joel, cool Swedish metalhead. He streams on Twitch but isn't traditionally a streamer, doesn't play like MOBAs and all that shit, just fucks around for the most part. All his streams get archived on YouTube, and there's some pretty hysterical stuff.
|
| |
Sec Talk: leftwing/moderate political commentary. he's a forward thinker in many regards, not so much in others but yeah I like him.
TND: Music reviews, think pieces/top lists at times, interviews with artists sometimes (dude interviewed the likes of Danny Brown, Busdriver, Kamasi Washington, etc), forced memes on his other channel which I ignore, Cal Chuchesta comedy overall
DeadEndHH: Hip-hop reviews, conversations, 4 different opinions with every album review

Worst thing on YouTube isn't the edgy attention whoring comedy channels, it's the edgy attention whoring political channels. Fuck Sargon of Akkad and all those decidedly contrarian channels, petty as fuck

@Dream and Jiggly: Thanks for the channel recs! I'll give them a whirl when I'm off work.
Also I honestly don't watch any politics related channels on Youtube, literally 99% of the time it's cringe.
|
| |
Sargon is dreadful.
Secular Talk says stuff how it is and doesn't bs you, that's what I like about him.
On the other hand, The Young Turks are just baaaaaaad bad badddd for the most part.
Leftwing channels are often hit and miss, sadly.
|
| |
I don't watch Young Turks, subscribed on a whim but haven't checked. Guess I'll take your advice.
I occasionally check The Majority Report, left-wing podcast that has been poking fun at all the shit going on since inauguration. Good times.

I have unfortunately watched the Young Turks, and the only enjoyment I've ever gotten out of them was watching them have a complete emotional meltdown when Trump was elected.

>Most far-righters would've killed themselves if Hillary got elected
>Hyperbolic reaction from partisan slaves is bound to happen

Reportoftheweek is all the YouTube you'll ever need
What an irresistible man

My roommate watches a lot of young turks and she usually doesn't have a problem with them.

Don't get me wrong, I hate when either left or right sides are slaves to their party, but every video I've seen from TYT has had this aura of arrogance and "My opinion is correct and anyone who disagrees with me is a racist, terrible human being" throughout all their material, so seeing them get cut down a few notches was incredibly entertaining to watch.
|
| |
I know I always bring up this argument and it's shoehorse theory, but both sides have the same exact flaws when they follow their parties to their extremes. The "You're a sexist, racist, ageist..." of the right is belittling by writing people off as 'special snowflakes' and all that name calling shit.
|
| |
But we're talking about specifically Young Turks and I can't say shit cuz I haven't bothered watching

Oh yeah, both sides of the coin are incredibly cringe. Whenever you tell a hyper left a different opinion, you're a racist / sexist / transphobic / whatever. Whenever you tell a hyper right a different opinion, you're a cuck / special snowflake / sjw / whatever.
Just form your own opinions, and be open to at least listening to different viewpoints.
