He's kind of a hack yeah. Love is Hell is great tho.

Oh Diva, I'm seriously considering putting your poem up as a guest feature under the review - that was perfect lmfao
You're correct, this review IS too long

Lol. Thanks. Now if I could only master haiku, I could help you trim it down even more.

Ed I might check out his two 'about equally good to Heartbreaker' albums some time, like I said Heartbreaker is a 3.5, the man can write quality songs even if he sort of remains an unmemorable character within them

His Wonderwall cover tho.
Even the Gallaghers (read: the 2 biggest egos after Kanye) think it's better than the original.
Tbh I think his covers are better than his original stuff mostly.

I detest that song (in England you can't be neutral about it due to its ubiquity) so if he makes it even half listenable then he's a genius.
|
| |
Ah come on, that song is pretty iconic/cool. It's been way way way way overplayed though, so I get it.
(Don't look back in anger is way better anyways)

Never liked Oasis but they have a few well written songs for sure.

I love [What's the Story] Morning Glory but otherwise don't much care for most of their stuff.
Most unlikeable british ppl. beside margaret thatcher though.

I appreciated how antagonistic they were and some of their put downs of other celebrities were pretty inspired but, overall, yes they were total wankers

Many assholes who are just resentful and hostile towards everyone occasionally stumble among a point where their vitriol is justified (*cough* insert vague, snarky reference to Donald Trump *cough*) but that doesn't make their attitude less pathetic.

I hate Oasis with all my heart but they had a couple of good tracks.

Oasis interviews in the 90s were the greatest thing in pop culture print. We all lapped it up, laughed along and sang along.
If you just thought they were a couple of egos you weren't tuning in properly and were either soft as shite or a take absolutely everything at face value yank.
Blur were/are better though

I'd seek out the interviews way ahead of their music (which as far as a rock/metal/indie kid was concerned was the absolute enemy)
|

The lives with one of the brothers freaking out on the other are hilarious
|

I preferred the interviews as well doof dude.
I think it was in 'Select' before the release of Be Here Now where the journo opened up the piece by saying how the band was interview gold because of how funny they were.
Zak fact 23. My brother is in the rock n roll star vid filmed in Southend.

I definitely heard a few Oasis songs and had to admit 'if this was performed by someone else I might like it, it's a decent song' but something about them just turned me off
I can't stand Weller's music and there was a similarity there, and sure enough Oasis worshipped Weller
Wish I could think of some interview examples now but they were classic - slating everyone and his dog 24/7

Don't dig the Jam?

Hate 'em
Not as much as solo Weller though
My dad is a huge Weller fan...but as we discussed before his current favourite band is Muse lol
