It pains me to agree. After his experiences with tinnitus I can't imagine Silberman creating something other than hushed music akin to Impermanence. I wonder if he could record his vocals and then have the band do their part separately? I doubt recording would be the issue so much as touring; the noise of a live show doesn't seem like something in his best interest as he could easily lose his hearing entirely.

Yeah Impermanence was quite good all things considered but I did miss the atmosphere that typically comes with an Antlers release. I don't see much reason why they couldn't continue to record and just not tour? I know that's how bands make their money so maybe it wouldn't be worth it to them to continue in such a limited capacity. But they could continue to create traditional Antlers albums and release everything digitally.
