lol I was totally pulling your leg, but I'm glad you like it. To us metal fans, "mama said" was an abomination...or worse...a country song haha

I dig the video for "Here Comes Revenge." Song's good too.

Yeah Friday, I can see it. But it proves me that the band can use some variety. It's nice to know it, especially for grey hair people :D

is somewhere around a 3.8. It would be a 4.5 if it was one CD with the songs on the first CD plus Confusion and Spit Out The Bone. The other songs on the second CD are average and bring it down.

"The cracks in the foundation first appeared with the release of Load. Suddenly the band that claimed to only care about the music seemed to be equally concerned with image and current trends (If not more so). If Metallica’s identity crisis wasn’t apparent at that time,"

Yes, because 8-10 minute blues rock epics and southern/groove rock were all over the radio in the mid 90's. Regardless of whether you like the Load albums or not, the whole 'They were just following the trends at the time' criticism is complete bullshit.

Now That Were Dead kinda reminds me of the faster/heavier songs from the Load era

The ManUNkind video holy fuck. Was not expecting to see a full on Mayhem tribute in a Metallica music vid of all places.

Tbqh i like Death Magnetic way more than this. All Nightmare Long and The Judas Kiss are way better than any song from this, except maybe Moth into Flame imo

Spit Out The Bone fucking rules

This album is getting better with repeated listens, I'm excited. Agreed about Death Magnetic being a bit forced, the order of the songs mirrored Lightening/Master/Justice, it was a little much

"Kill ‘Em All is a pure album. It wasn’t guided by fame, label executives, money, fans or anything outside of four guys’ desire to create and play music"

That statement is a bit naive. We're talking about Metallica. They were aiming for marketable the second they were born. If you still think they sold out with the black album... well you still think they sold out with the black album.

Same for me, I'm bumping my rating up a bit myself

"ill prob just make my own custom version that's one disc"

I've already done that myself, I've edited the album down to a 68 minute version by speeding up every track (except Dream No More) by varying amounts (none of them to a retarded "80s THRASH METAL EDITION!" extent though) and cutting out some repetitive segments.
