Time for Static Prevails. This is going to be quite the transition in their discography.

Definitely agree with your analysis of a more uplifting Futures. Gonna have to give it a couple more listens to form a well thought out opinion. I really think the quality of the songs are nicely distributed throughout the album, not making any half heavier on quality than the other, with maybe a slight advantage to the second half. Haven't heard their previous few albums, so I can't really comment on it's improvement upon those. It's really emotionally moving while still being uplifting, something that Bleed American tried to do, but didn't quite get there (imo). It flows quite well, with very few interruptions. It feels like their on the cusp of something even better. But this is just stuff from my first listen, which can be very misleading.

great review sowbro, the image of Jim standing in a church singing the t/t resonated with me pretty damn hard for some reason. this is their third best album I think

I don't "get" the title track yet still. I don't know why it's taking me so long.

@Rowan - the "na na na na na" bit at the end
the more I listen back, it's not a note for note reprise, but it's close enough that it feels obviously implied to evoke that
