I love The Black Parade with a burning, nostalgia fueled passion, and was moderately intrigued by this release. I purchased the bone colored vinyl reissue of the album from 2014, so the physical package didn't get me as excited as the bonus disc presented here... But unfortunately, the tracks are horribly produced drivel with a beyond intoxicated Gerard Way warbling his way over erratically mixed instrumentals in one of the most underwhelming re-releases ever to exist. Even diehard fans can steer clear of this.

Hella nostalgic for this band, so I picked it up because this band used to be my favourite. Whilst I admit this re-release is a cash grab, I thought it was a pretty nice way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of an album I would still call a classic. It left me wanting more, would rather have had all the b-sides from the album as well, perhaps some nice videos from the recording sessions. But what I got was satisfactory enough. I can totally understand why a lot of people hate this release though, pretty sure the band aren't happy with it either.

Gerard was completely sober at this point, believe it or not.

Good review, although you could use a little more simplicity and conciseness in your writing. You repeat many of the same words and phrases in your review along with very similar sentence structure.

Thank you! Any specific examples?

I disagree soooooo much with this scathing review. The demos and rough mixes are sweet. Specifically The Five of Us are Dying gives such a cool insight into the writing process (this song clearly turned into what ended up being welcome to the black parade)
