the impression I get is that, much like SILY, they chose to have a cohesive set of tracks over a set of tracks that might have been objectively quality



they did promise to release the other songs from these sessions that didn't make it onto the album and I wouldn't be surprised at all if some of them were better than anything on here, but the compilation wouldn't flow nearly as well as this does



aka they went for narrative consistency and flow, which is fine, it's just a shame there needed to be so many subpar songs in this particular narrative

Frankie Sinatra, Saturday Night Inside Out, If I Was a Folkstar are all fairly enjoyable as individual songs but I can't imagine listening to anything else on this outside of the album entire
