I really really loved 7 though. The fight sequences and story could have been more original but overall I though Abrams did an amazing job. Daisy Ridley really nailed it in every scene.

Anakin vs Obi Wan in the ROTS video game is way more emotional then the one in the movie, really wish they would have put more focus on emotion like they did with like Vader vs. Luke in VI.

That had possibly the absolute worst way to finish a lightsaber fight ever though. Rest of it is pretty dope though, my fav is Episode 5's duel.

Some people complain about Kylo Ren not being a powerful enough villain or being "lame," but that's exactly who is character is supposed to be. He's a bratty, conflicted, almost cowardly character and probably one of the most interesting parts of TFA. He's Anakin from AOTC, except done correctly.



Speaking of AOTK I probably like it more than most of you. Aside from a couple cringy dialogue scenes (that I usually skip on rewatchings), pretty much everything else is great. Anakin finding his mother was emotional, Obi-Wan's missions were interesting, and the last 45 minutes-1 hour was all fantastic.

AOTC was ok once it got going, but Anakin ruined a lot of it.

Yeah you could say I didn't like 7. It boggles me how people can say they loved Rey. Such a one-dimensional character. Kylo was actually good, I agree apart from him looking nothing like Han or Leia. Finn was shit, I already established why. Luke was a bate appearence just so they can hype that he's in the movie. Half of the comedy was extremely forced and cringy. And 7 is probably the star wars movie with the most plot holes.

Hayden isn't a bad actor imo. I've seen him in other movies and he can act. The script just didn't allow him to do better.

In what way is Rey a one-dimensional character? I agree about Finn being pretty weak, though.

She is perfect at anything. ANYTHING. She doesn't make not 1 mistake in the movie. She is flawless. Whatever she touches she is suddenly a master at it. Kylo ren trained god knows how many years with LUKE skywalker, after which he annihilated every single one of Luke's students. And then comes this mary sue that didn't even know the Force was a real thing 2 days ago and suddenly she completely overpowers him. And don't give me that bullshit that Kylo was hurt or that he was in a bad place emotionally, because the act of killing someone he loves should give him the full power of the dark side at his disposal. He said it himself, his connection with his parents was the only thing that was keeping him from becoming more powerful. And that is why I call bullshit on the last fight.

Like literally the only sort of flaw her character has is not knowing where her parents are and feeling as if she must wait for them to return, which is even more annoying since it's so obvious they are gonna make her the daughter or grand daughter of a character from the older movies just so she ties in with the rest of the saga in some way, and so there is an explanation for how she is already naturally skilled with the force like a day after learning of it's existence.

well yeah she's luke's daughter and luke is ridiculously overpowered post-rotj (even confirmed by lucas himself to become "the greatest jedi that ever lived" while he was still involved in star wars) so it makes sense she should have some innate talent
remember when 9 year old anakin skywalker was somehow the best pilot in the battle of naboo and destroyed a trade federation ship all by his lonesome?
remember how luke trained for a few months with yoda (whereas most jedi in the republic would train 10-20 years to reach the same level) and was able to beat vader and resist the emperor?
