Given this a few listens now and thoroughly enjoyed it, definitely more than I'm With You.

It's a really nice evolution of sound. Never thought I'd enjoy a Fruscianteless Chili's album.

Have you ever heard RHCP from Slovak's time? Freaky Styley is one of their funkiest and probably my favorite album from them.

One Hot Minute seems to have this gotten this reputation as a misunderstood classic in recent years but to me it just sounds so weak. I get that they were trying something different but Dave Navarro was a terrible fit for the band.

I thought Dave added an interesting edge to the record instrumentally, but I think the overall history behind the record's conception makes it all the more interesting. Also it has quite a few excellent jams.

yeah, it's decent overall, but navarro's work sounds too much like a feature and not like he's a proper member of the band. I can't get that feeling out of my head any time i listen to 1HM.

Heroin makes people do funny things.

That would be a pretty accurate summary of RCHP in the 80s and 90s actually.

still really enjoy this, some top-shelf RHCP on here and no noticeably bad songs

The guitar work on this is really nice, I think that's what draws me to it most.

This is solid and a gigantic step up from the terrible "I'm with you"

I know you will... There is only one track I don't like here. The last 3 are my favorite last 3 songs of any RHCP album I think only rivaled by BTW's ending
