The title track lick is sweet though yeah. I wonder how they did it.

The way it builds and Mario's cleans are actually pretty sweet.

The production is stellar too, but every Gojira album post-Link sonically sounds great.

I'm glad they've avoided the awful brickwall production of similar bands, everything sounds really crisp and clear. I really like the cleans, especially on Shooting Star and the end of Stranded.

That opening part in 'Only Pain' is just infectious, mmmmm.

And Flug, nah, I'm the man of good bait. Should make a Roadhog bait one though.

I just listened to The Way of All Flesh and realized how much more I enjoy it to this but in fairness its a very different sound they were going for here

Liberation feels like the way they ended their concert I saw. They did the 10 min versions of Where the Dragons Dwell so that everyone was hypnotized and just calmed. Liberation does the same thing, makes me calm after this listen which is a good experience.

I might review this, I have one or two things I want to talk about but I'm not sure if it's worth it...

Finally. Sounding really good upon first listen. Can see this album becoming a favourite. So well-paced and inspired, plus how could anyone shit on this production? Hella crisp.

Really enjoyed this, their most varied album and accessible but I don't think it's Gojira neutered down. They have made each song more concise which I don't think is a bad thing as they take their sound in more directions than they usually across the album and within songs.
