Pale flag is not bad, but I think it goes nowhere. The first half is really nice. Could have been put aside for later use or been used as a part of another song. But it's not a bad one. Old Hearts Fall is more boring I think.

The menacing way he says "crystal ground" in Serac gets me every time.

The vocal lines on Serac are nicely crafted. I have to admit, though, the ''crystal ground'' part is nothing of interest for me. I much prefer the way he murmurs the last words of several sentences, such as ''harm'' and ''was... fragments''.

Not a problem here because the sun keeps getting stolen by the rain haha, also the album mentions both summer and winter/snow. For me it worked pretty well on a late afternoon country stroll.
